Article I · § 1–6

Privacy Policy (GDPR & CCPA)

NarrativePointMedia, registered at Zabel-Krüger-Damm 13, 13469 Waidmannslust, Germany (“NarrativePointMedia,” “we,” “us”), is the controller of personal data collected through narrativepointmedia.com and related correspondence. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and — for California residents — the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA.

§ 1 Data we collect. When you send an inquiry, sign an agreement, or pay an invoice, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, organization, project brief, billing details, and correspondence history. Technical logs may include IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

§ 2 Purposes and legal bases. Inquiry data is processed to respond to your request and prepare a proposal (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — pre-contractual measures). Contract data is processed to deliver commissioned copywriting and retain records (Art. 6(1)(b)). Invoices and tax records are kept to comply with German retention law (Art. 6(1)(c)). Optional analytics run only with consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and protect our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

§ 3 Sharing and transfers. We never sell personal information — a commitment that also satisfies CCPA’s prohibition on sale and share. Data is shared only with essential processors: secure hosting in the European Union, our email provider, and Stripe for payment processing, each bound by data-processing agreements. If a processor outside the EEA is ever engaged, transfers rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.

§ 4 Retention. Inquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after the last contact. Contract and invoice records are kept for 10 years as required by § 147 German Fiscal Code (AO). You may request earlier deletion where no statutory duty applies.

§ 5 Your rights. You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability of your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. CCPA residents additionally have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/share, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. California residents may designate an authorized agent for requests.

§ 6 Contact. All privacy requests go to [email protected] or by post to NarrativePointMedia, Zabel-Krüger-Damm 13, 13469 Waidmannslust, Germany. We answer within one month.

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit narrativepointmedia.com. This booklet explains which cookies NarrativePointMedia uses, why they exist, and how long they live — so your reading experience stays transparent from the first page to the last.

§ 1 Essential cookies. A first-party preference cookie records your cookie-banner choice so we do not ask on every visit (retention: up to 12 months). Session cookies that keep a secure checkout or form alive are strictly necessary and do not require consent under the German Telemedia Act (TTDSG) and ePrivacy Directive.

§ 2 Analytics cookies. With your consent, we may set a lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics cookie to measure which articles and services readers open. These statistics are aggregated, never sold, and never used to build cross-site advertising profiles. Analytics cookies remain for up to 6 months or until you clear them.

§ 3 Third-party cookies. Embedded maps (Google Maps) and payment pages (Stripe) may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Google processes data under its own privacy terms; Stripe processes payment data solely to complete your transaction. No advertising or social pixels are dropped without separate consent.

§ 4 Managing cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies from the floating banner, change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or block cookies entirely in browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent forms or checkout from working. Questions? Write to [email protected].

Terms of Service

These Terms govern every engagement between you and NarrativePointMedia, registered at Zabel-Krüger-Damm 13, 13469 Waidmannslust, Germany, for copywriting, content strategy, and related editorial services. Placing an order, signing a statement of work, or paying an invoice constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

§ 1 Scope of services. Services — including thought leadership articles, multi-channel email campaigns, sales collateral, website messaging, brand voice guides, ghostwriting, case studies, whitepapers, and landing page copy — are described in the proposal or order confirmation. Deliverables, word counts, channels, and turnaround dates stated there are binding. Reasonable revision rounds (two per asset unless agreed otherwise) are included; out-of-scope changes are quoted separately.

§ 2 Client cooperation. Timely access to briefs, brand assets, subject-matter experts, and feedback is the client’s responsibility. Delays in feedback extend delivery dates by at least the length of the delay. You confirm that materials you supply — data, claims, images, trademarks — may be used as instructed and do not infringe third-party rights.

§ 3 Fees and payment. Prices are net in EUR or USD as quoted, exclusive of VAT where applicable. Fixed-price projects are payable 50% on acceptance and 50% on final delivery; retainers are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are due within 14 days without deduction. Late payments accrue statutory default interest. Card payments run through Stripe; our Pay links open Stripe’s secure checkout.

§ 4 Intellectual property. Upon receipt of full payment, you receive worldwide, perpetual rights to the final approved deliverables for the purposes described in the agreement. NarrativePointMedia retains rights in pre-existing frameworks, templates, and working files, and may showcase non-confidential work in its portfolio unless you opt out in writing. Drafts and rejected concepts remain ours.

§ 5 Liability and confidentiality. We deliver with professional care but do not guarantee specific rankings, revenue, or conversion figures — results depend on your market and execution. Liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage and excludes indirect loss, except in cases of intent or gross negligence, and except where liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Both parties keep confidential information secret for five years after the engagement ends.

§ 6 Termination and law. Either party may terminate for cause with written notice if the other materially breaches and fails to cure within 14 days. Completed work remains payable. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany; the courts of Berlin have exclusive jurisdiction for merchants. Consumer mandatory protections remain reserved. Contact: [email protected].

Article IV · § 1–5

Refund Policy

We want every engagement with NarrativePointMedia to feel fair and reversible where it can be. This Refund Policy explains when payments returned to you, how to request one, and how long money takes to come back — whether you paid a fixed-price project, a campaign, or a monthly retainer.

§ 1 Cooling-off for consumers. Consumers within the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts (§ 355 BGB). For digital content that you expressly waive the withdrawal period for and that delivery begins immediately, the right lapses once delivery starts. Otherwise, notify us within 14 days of payment at [email protected] for a full refund of amounts paid.

§ 2 Project refunds. If we cancel an unstarted project, you receive 100% of fees paid. If we cancel mid-delivery, you receive a pro-rata refund for work not yet performed. If you cancel after drafting has begun, work completed up to the cancellation date is invoiced; any prepaid amount beyond that is returned within 14 days. One free revision cycle is always honored before any refund conversation is needed.

§ 3 Retainers. Monthly ghostwriting and editorial retainers may be cancelled before the next billing date; the current month is non-refundable once drafting has started, but no further charges occur. Prepaid quarterly retainers are refundable pro rata for unused full months.

§ 4 How to request payment back. Open our secure payment page and include your invoice number and the email used at checkout: Pay & billing portal. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days via Stripe; banks may take additional days to post the credit. Statutory warranty rights for defective services are unaffected by this policy.

§ 5 Contact. Refund and billing questions: NarrativePointMedia, Zabel-Krüger-Damm 13, 13469 Waidmannslust, Germany — [email protected], telephone +49 162 94817203. We reply within two business days.
